I have been meditating on a certain passage of scripture for the last week and wanted to share it!
In Mark 4:18-19 it talks about the seed that fell among the thorns. Here's what came to mind. The ground was good ground. If it wasn't then the thorns wouldn't have grown in it. The problem is that the thorns were not removed. Had the thorns been removed the seed could have grown and produced fruit. The thorns in this passage are 'the worries of life, the lure of wealth and the desire for other things'. What are the 'other things'. They are anything that doesn't promote the growth of the seed. So if you have a passion for something that takes away from your fruit as a man or woman of GOD then it has to be counted as a thorn and it must be removed. Believe me it will be worth it. Fruit tastes a lot better than thorns.
