Well we can't say we haven't been tryin. This is my boy J-Dawg all out in the camo. He is a killer in every means of the word. We tried last week to kill a turkey and gave it another shot this week. Well let me just say it's a good thing that we love being out in nature and enjoy the fellowship. We do a pretty good job of locating the old toms but when daylight breaks they seem to get a case of the lock-jaw. It was a great morning as the weather was simply outstanding, except for a little wind. Cool,crisp and clear. We didn't see any turkeys but had three does ease through the woods just a ridge over feeding on some of the fresh green shrubs. Just about right, go turkey huntin and see deer, go deer huntin and see turkey. Good thing we are law-abiding citizens otherwise we would have been eatin backstrap tonight. Oh well, maybe next time. Still a good morning any way.
