ARC CONFERENCE

Just got back home from Austin,Tx. where I attended the ARC Conference(Association of Related Churchs). It was a much needed time for me. This is the group that our church is connected with and Pastor Dino serves on the board of. I loved the fellowship of the pastors there as well as hearing what the Lord is doing in the other great churches around the country. Several pastors shared throughout the conference. Pastors like Joe Champion of Celebration Church in Austin(host church), Stovall Weems of Celebration Church in Jacksonville,Fl., Rick Bezet of New Life Church in Conway,AR. and Pastor Dino of Healing Place Church(I'm a little partial to this guy). But I have to say that the highlight of the conference was hearing Pastor Craig Groeschel of Life Church in Oklahoma. Very humble man who knows what the Lord has called him to do. His church has 12 locations with about 20,000 people attending. He spoke a monumental word to the pastors of ARC. It challenged me in a strong way and in many ways. He said something that really sets everything straight. He told the pastors that he was a 'Disciple of Jesus Christ of gets the oppurtunity to pastor people'. That should be all of our responcibilities first and foremost, to be a disciple of Christ then all the other stuff next. Check out their web site at www.lifechurch.tv.
