ARE YOU IN THE RACE ?

I'm sitting here in my office thinking about the weekend and our Sunday service. We've been in a series over the last few weeks entitled "Inside/Out". We've been talking about getting involved and doing all that God asks us to do. The thought that came to me was when I was reading the text I will use on Sunday out of 2Tim.4:6-8. Paul is telling Timothy "My life has been poured out as an offering to God." then he says "I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful." He has finished the race and has remained faithful. Man what an awesome thing. I then thought about all the things that have taken place over the last few days and what will take place tomorrow. We had 8 of our youth clean up the yard of a young couple for two days who don't go to church anywhere. They just felt they needed to do it to minister to this couple. Then tomorrow we will have many volunteers here at our office space to do a Health Fair. People will be able to get different screenings and testings from doctors who have willingly given up their Saturday. Our Cooking for Christ will cook enough food to feed about 300 people. Why do they do it? Because they to want to be able to say the same thing Paul said at the end of his life "I have finished the race and I have remained faithful". Is that what you want to say as well? Have a great weekend !
