WE ARE BLESSED
Just came back from visiting with a really great couple in our church. I got in my vehicle and as I drove away I couldn't help but think of how awesomely blessed I am. I shared with our congregation yesterday about how blessed we really are and how God blesses us to be a blessing to others. It is so easy to lose focus of all that we have and to focus on the things that we don't. most of the things that we don't have we really don't need anyway. When we take a step back and really take a good look at our life we can see how truely blessed we are. This happened to me several years ago when I first attended a camp called Camp Barnabus. This is a special needs camp that put week long camps for kids as well as adults with special needs. The week we go is the week they call Adult Friends week. It is 17 and above year old Down Syndrom adults. For a solid week you wait on them hand and foot. Some of them don't require much assistance but some of them reqire you to do everything for them and I mean everything. When you spend an entire week helping someone do the very simple things in life, things we do on our on, you realize how blessed you are and how easy it is to take thigs for granted. I need times like this at least once a week to keep me in line. I want to enjoy all that God has done for me and not get so side-tracked with the things that in essence really don't matter.I challenge you to take a step back and think about how blessed you really are. Remember this: When you think you have it bad there is ALWAYS someone out there that has it worse than you.

Awesome. I need to be reminded of this daily, cause - like you said -it is so easy to forget about all of the little things that make our lives what they are! Thanks for the reminder! Hope everything is going allright in Frannyville!
AMEN!!!
