Go Global

We just started a new series at H.P.C. entitled "Go Global" focusing on winning the lost near and far. In order to do this, we've got to think outside of our little world. We must think beyond ourself. It really got me to thinking of the Jim Carry movie "The Truman Show." He's a man with the nice house, wife, job, friends and life, but he started thinking that there's got to be more to life. When he starts to get curious about life beyond what he knows, everyone around him tries to shut him down. But he wouldn't be denied and he forced hsi way through the circumstances and pushed forward into the great unknown. Sounds just like what the enemy does when God quickens our hearts to follow His will for our life. And just like Truman we must push forward into the things God has for us. We must think outside of our world and go "into all the world and make disciples of ALL men."

Great Job this past Sunday. Loved the sermon being from the heart. Ya know, we love to hear great teaching, but this past Sunday was great PREACHING. That is exactly what we all need sometimes.. We loved it, it was wide open to let God say what he needed to say. We both recieved it.
Thanks For keeping it real.

GO GLOBAL!!!

dude, you've got it so right with the "truman show" thought. so much of the time we tend to drift toward living life like this is all there is to it. like everyone in the world lives like we do.

there's so much more to the world than what we are here in southern louisiana.

getting outside our "box" - our little world - is one of the healthiest things we can do. that's one reason why i think it is so important to go on missions trips whenever we possibly can. there's no reality check like a missions trip.
